REB names Elders as top real estate operator

At Elders, we pride ourselves in our dedication and commitment to customer service – and we're pleased to announce that we have been recognised as the nation's top real estate operator by Real Estate Business.

The Real Estate Business Top 20 Group evaluates Australia's real estate organisations on a number of criteria – including efficiency, scale, sales and property management – and we're thrilled to top the list for 2012.

Its inaugural report not only identifies the biggest players in the real estate space, but also highlights what it takes for a property business to operate successfully in the Australian market, according to Real Estate Business' editor Simon Parker.

Elders head of real estate Brendan Whipps asserted that Elders' continued focus on professional development – both at the company and franchise level – has played an important part in the advancement of the business over the last year.

"Development of our people through ongoing professional development and mentoring programs has been a particular focus and has seen us deliver more than 500 training days across the country," he said.

Another important focus has been on making the technology platform behind the Elders franchise network more Google-friendly, expanding our presence online, he said.

But it is Elders' clear, goal-oriented approach that has served the organisation particularly well in the past 12 months.

He said: "Our two channels, franchise and company-owned, focus on People, Profitability and Wealth; and Sales, People and Cash, respectively and during the year we made inroads on all fronts."

Mr Whipps emphasised that the Elders brand, which is steeped in nearly two centuries of history, has been the main contributor to our success.

"The Elders brand is a known entity which leads to trust and integrity built over 174 years," said Mr Whipps.
