Tom Russo - General Manager of Real Estate
Tom Russo was appointed as General Manager – Real Estate of Elders Ltd in January 2016 and has the responsibility for the strategic development of the Elders Real Estate group. This includes Rural and Residential Agency, Real Estate Franchise, Property Management, Water Trading, Agribusiness Investments, Conveyancing and Elders Home Loans.
Prior to this appointment Tom was the General Manager – Strategy and Business Development. He played a pivotal role in devising and implementing the turnaround strategy for Elders, including executing a number of large and complex divestment initiatives, most notably Elders’ exit from its complex forestry MIS business.
Tom has previously been the Chief Executive of a specialist international law firm and practiced as a corporate lawyer in a leading law firm.

Andrew Brien – National Head of Residential Real Estate
Andrew brings extensive Real Estate experience having been a successful Elders Franchise owner (winner of Franchise of the Year 2009), and also holding multiple company roles starting with branch Real Estate sales person, moving to the management of the South Australian, Northern Territory, Victorian, NSW and Tasmanian Real Estate activity in the role of Real Estate Operations Manager South and then to the corresponding role in Western Australia.
Having held Real Estate licenses across multiple states, Andrew has a broad knowledge of the Real Estate industry and its diversity. Andrew has committed further to this knowledge by undertaking his MBA and Cert IV in Training and Assessment which he has now successfully completed.
Andrew is responsible for growth and strategic improvements for both Franchise and Company owned Residential Real Estate offices and will work with the entire Elders network to increase our footprint.
In his new role as National Head of Residential Real Estate, Andrew’s broad knowledge nationally of the Real Estate market will help Elders develop and grow.

Jenny Birrell - Operational Excellence Manager
Jenny commenced her Real Estate career in a wheatbelt town in WA over 30 years ago and since then has held a variety of senior management roles in both independent agency operations and within a large franchised group. Jenny is a licensed real estate agent who works closely with business owners, managers and property managers in a training and mentoring capacity.
With her extensive experience in all facets of the Real Estate industry including Financial Controller, Property Manager, Operations Manager, Business Development Manager and CEO of a large franchised group, Jenny has always been focused on providing support for Franchise Owners and helping them grow their businesses.
Jenny has a particular talent for helping business owners develop the value of their business through smart business planning, staff training and effective use of the tools available through the group.
The focus for this national operation role for Jenny will be to drive and manage new initiatives and ensure that training, systems and procedures are “best practice” across the Elders network.

Belinda Connor - Marketing Manager Real Estate
Belinda is a senior marketing and communications specialist, with over 15 years’ experience in strategic marketing, branding, digital, customer service, business development, franchising, events and sponsorship. Working with both national and state based organisations, on local and international initiatives, across non profit and corporate organisations, Belinda has led large multidisciplinary marketing teams and strategic marketing projects for brands such as FOXTEL and Wendy’s.
Belinda’s most recent role was General Manager of Marketing and Programs with Business SA, the South Australian Chamber of Commerce. She holds two Bachelor Degrees in Psychology and Marketing, and is currently completing a Master of Business Administration.
Having joined Elders as Marketing Manager Real Estate, Belinda is responsible for the development and implementation of the marketing strategy to underpin aggressive growth of the Elders Real Estate network. Working in partnership with the network, Belinda will provide tactical campaign initiatives and work collaboratively with the Elders State teams to provide innovative solutions.

Colin Hawkins - QLD
Colin has been fortunate to have been in the Real Estate industry since 1990 and progressed to business ownership in 1994. In 1999, he moved in to Corporate Real Estate practice and has extensive experience in all facets of Franchising at Regional, State and National levels. This includes compliance, Franchise recruitment, marketing and Franchise harmony.
Specialising in business coaching, performance management and team development, Colin continually works with business owners and teams to achieve peak performance and profitability; this has allowed him to achieve a reputation for getting results.
Being responsible for integration of the regional business plan which is centered on growth, development and profitability of the network is a rewarding challenge to have and one that Colin thrives on.

Ian Carter - Business Development Manager Qld
Ian joins Elders Real Estate Queensland having spent the last 16 years building strong relationships within the Real Estate industry throughout Australia and New Zealand. His can do attitude is infectious and he has shown over a long period of time the ability to adapt and grow his skill sets within the Real Estate industry. He is a proven natural born leader and team player.
Furthering his career from sales agent / sales management to corporate Real Estate he has guided the growth of Real Estate offices and mentored other agents across Australia and New Zealand.
After being promoted from QLD State Manager to National Franchise Manager with Century21 Australia, he made the move to Sydney in early 2015. In this role, the company opened 22 new offices across Australia & New Zealand.
Ian also spent the last 3 months of 2015 in Auckland, overseeing the Franchise service delivery to the Century21 New Zealand network.
Recently due to family commitments he chose to move back to Qld.
Making the decision to join Elders, Ian has identified the growth potential of the company’s Franchise network in Queensland and this has now become a primary focus from board level. He is still involved in the roll out of plans Nationally and acts as an advisor to all within the group.

Steve Murphy – NSW / ACT
Steve Murphy has been in the Real Estate industry for the past 30 years. A Principal for 25 years, Steve has owned and operated up to 4 successful offices simultaneously, managing a combined team in excess of 20 people.
Steve is a registered Valuer, licensed Real Estate agent/business agent as well as an experienced Auctioneer conducting and mentoring over some 2000 auctions.
With a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Steve has studied with some of the best people in USA, Australia and New Zealand. Being a successful business owner as opposed to a successful agent can be two totally different sets of skills.

Darren Barlow – VIC, Riverina & TAS
Throughout his 24 years within a dynamic and evolving Real Estate industry, Darren has acquired extensive, first-hand experience across a range of Real Estate and Franchising sectors. With a broad professional background including previously managing and owning Real Estate Franchises, Darren is a very highly respected member of the industry.

Andrew Edwards – SA / NT
A licensed Agent and Auctioneer in both SA & NT, Andy has real life Real Estate experience and has a broad background in Residential, Rural, Commercial & Development Sales. As an Auctioneer, Andy has carried out several hundred auctions over many years and is a past board member of the Society of Auctioneers & Appraisers.
For the last 8 years Andy has been more so involved at a Corporate level, most recently with RuralCo Property, also 4 years with Landmark in a National Real Estate Operations role and prior to that with Elders as both Residential Real Estate Manager SA/NT and Manager of Darwin/Palmerston Real Estate.

Jim Sangalli - WA
Jim has most recently held the position of Area / Hub manager of Elders Midland / Kimberley area since 2012 utilising skills and experience gained through many industry roles. A well respected and competent auctioneer, Jim has had a special interest in Real Estate throughout his career which includes owning and operating an Elders Real Estate Franchise in the Metropolitan area, sales roles with LJ Hooker and Landmark Harcourts in both residential and broadacre along with being an active lister and seller during his agency career with Landmark in Northam. Jim continues to mentor business associates and sportspeople where possible.
Jim’s professional approach to the many sales and auctions he has conducted have led to achievements which include being part of the REIWA Ten to Fifteen Million Dollar Club, Elders Top Selling Principal, a member of the Exclusive LJ Hooker Elite Captains Club (top 15% in Australia), and Outstanding Sales Person awards.

Rebecca Layton - Real Estate Advisor (West)
Rebecca has been in the Real Estate industry since 2004 with experience covering Real Estate Administration, Property Management, Sales, Human Resources and Accounts. Although she was a successful sales consultant, Rebecca’s passion has always been focused on Real Estate administration processes and compliance. Having been fortunate enough to work with some of WA’s best performing agents, Rebecca’s passion for Real Estate continued to grow and led her to Elders in 2014.
Rebecca is a central resource to the Elders WA Real Estate network facilitating WA based Projects, Training, Events, Compliance, Administration and assistance to the Zone Real Estate Manager.

Bronwyn McIntyre - Senior Real Estate Administrator
Bronwyn holds a Bachelor of Business degree majoring in Advertising, and can offer almost 10 years administration, advertising and marketing experience.
Her Real Estate career began in 2007 with the Raine & Horne Qld Head Office. Following two years with Raine & Horne, Bronwyn left Australia to explore life in the northern hemisphere, living in Denmark for just under a year.
Returning to Australia at the height of the GFC, Bronwyn spent two years in the not for profit sector before returning to Real Estate in investment wholesale and property development roles.
Now with Elders Real Estate Bronwyn has integrated into the Elders network and learned and developed further within the supportive Elders environment.
Bronwyn’s diverse role covers Events, Training, IT Support, Marketing and Franchise Administration. Bronwyn also studies law part time.

Alex Cornelissen - Real Estate Administrator
Alex is our Real Estate Administrator for the Southern Zone.
Alex has a background of Administration, Event Planning and Marketing within many different industries. Alex’s previous role in the wine industry was to provide exceptional administration support to an office with over 120 staff, Managing Directors and contractors.
Alex has recently decided to pursue a career in Real Estate having now acknowledged an interest for the industry. Alex supports all of the franchisor team and any franchisee enquiry from an administrative level. Alex is eager and willing to learn and prosper under the Elders Real Estate brand.

Claire Hunt - Real Estate Administrator
Claire has a background of administration within the legal sector spanning ten years. Claire’s role in the legal industry was to provide extensive administration support to Partners, Senior Associates and Solicitors.
Claire has now been with Elders for five years, the last of which was maternity leave. Claire rejoins us part time and now provides her extensive knowlegde and administrative experience exclusively to support the NSW/ACT offices and real estate managers; although she does still find time, during her two busy days, to support and collaborate with our team and network nationally.
Claire, together with Holly, schedule and organise all training and events for NSW/ACT and their diverse role also includes IT Support, marketing and any ad hoc role that is required.

Holly Sharp - Real Estate Administrator
Holly comes to Elders with 8 years’ experience in Residential Real Estate with experience covering Administration, Property Management and Sales PA.
Holly brings exceptional communication skills, organisational abilities and a can do attitude. Holly’s professional approach, diligence and understanding of the Real Estate industry ensures all clients receive the very best service. Holly deals with every challenge efficiently and effectively to provide a smooth transaction and always with a smile! Above all Holly believes in maintaining a constant open flow of communication so all parties are informed every step of the way.
Holly is a registered Land Sales Representative (SA) and is currently studying her Diploma in Agency Services (SA) which is due to be completed in November.
