Congratulations to those who worked so hard and contributed funds to instigate and erect the brilliant statue opposite our office on the Village Green.

The project hits the nail on the head and encapsulates the pioneer spirit of our region.

What we need now is a couple of names for the bloke and his mutt. I’m sure there will be a few gems! Why not email us your version and we will publish it in our newsletters. In the end, one name will stick!

In the short space of time it has been up, we have noticed a constant stream of curious visitors to the statue and we have not heard a negative comment as yet. Let’s all look after this local icon.
