New Brighton - A quaint seaside village located between the Pacific Ocean and Brunswick River estuary on the Far North Coast of New South Wales.
Traditionally a holiday destination to the ‘family beach house’ in the ‘50’s, and remains largely unspoilt today boasting pristine surfing and fishing beaches and waterways, fringed by coastal rainforest reserves. The good ’ole fashioned General Store has been the mainstay of the village since the early days, and the attached café the social epicentre for that chat over coffee or a meal. Each Tuesday there’s the Farmers Market on the oval, and there is also a cycleway linking neighbouring centres of Ocean Shores and South Golden Beach. An eclectic mix of retro and contemporary style homes give our seaside village its unique atmosphere, character and appeal.
Ocean Shores -Developed in the late 1960’s establishing and incorporating a shopping centre, parks, and 18 hole Championship Golf Course together to create a whole new town on the ‘shores of the ocean’ and located just 15 minutes drive to the tourist hub of Byron Bay. Many properties enjoy an elevated position with sweeping ocean views from Hastings Point in the north, and south to the world-renowned icons of Julian Rocks and Cape Byron Headland. There are also beautiful views across the district to the hinterland and mountain ranges of the Brunswick and Tweed Valleys.
The new Pacific Motorway and Tugun Bypass have cut down travelling time for many day-trippers and work-commuters alike with the Gold Coast Airport 30 minutes drive, and Brisbane now 90 minutes drive.
South Golden Beach -Only minutes north of Ocean Shores, ‘South Golden’ is bounded by nature reserve at New Brighton to the south, and a tidal canal waterway that flows into the Billinudgel Nature Reserve to the north.
Leafy tree-lined streets will entice you to enjoy an authentic and casual coastal lifestyle, with many homes privately screened from passers-by with lush tropical gardens. New housing estates of North Ocean Shores and Fern Beach have emerged in the surrounding area with a pre and primary school servicing the needs of many families in our community.
