Welcome to the last edition of Estates Magazine for 2025.
The drought affected areas in the south have had a reprieve with some good pasture growth and crop yields after a late start in autumn. The property markets in southern Australia have responded to the improved seasonal conditions and strong livestock prices. Turnover has increased and values have stabilized.
Western Australia and Queensland have had a generally good year with another excellent harvest and strong beef prices respectively.
We are seeing a decrease in days on market across NSW,
South Australia and Victoria as auction clearance rates increase and buyers’ confidence improves. We do not expect to see a return to the heady days of recent years, but rather a period of consolidation as the property market looks for some direction from commodity markets and on farm productivity growth.
The Elders team has had an incredible, busy year, delivering great results for our clients. As we take a well-earned break over Christmas, we hope you enjoy reading this edition of Estates and find inspiration for new opportunities in 2026 — and how we can help you achieve them.
