It has been reported that on 11 January 1872, Thomas Scott and his sons moved to the Liverpool Plains and selected a conditional purchase block on Currabubula Creek. They named the property 'Galla' which is thought to have been derived from the River Gala which flows through the Scottish district from where the family originated. The farm has remained under Scott family ownership since this settlement period and is now being exclusively offered to market for the first time in 151 years.
