Assembled over three generations on the Atherton Tablelands and the Mareeba–Dimbulah irrigation area of Far North Queensland. Rarely does an opportunity with such unique utility become available to purchase.
The combination of abundant and secure water, highly fertile soils, and tropical climate enable a range of highly profitable horticultural uses. Coffee, mandarins, avocado, lychees, and irrigated sugar cane are currently produced on the portfolio at scale. There is also considerable undeveloped land available for permanent planting or other horticultural land use.
Historically, the properties have produced peanuts, soybeans, cotton and cowpeas, demonstrating the extraordinarily high utility of the properties and the region.
A key crop of the portfolio includes 71.21ha of arabica coffee and a large-scale raw coffee processing plant. Australia currently imports more than 95 percent of coffee consumed and demand is rising as the Australian coffee culture continues to grow. The Mareeba Farming Portfolio is a large-scale producer of Australian coffee with the potential to significantly expand production.
The structure of the portfolio enables an acquisition at scale for all or some of the properties, or smaller parcels to be acquired.
The portfolio comprises six properties totalling approximately 1,257.88 hectares, spanning five distinct commodity platforms - arabica coffee (including on-farm coffee processing and packing infrastructure), late-season Murcott Afourer mandarins, Hass and Shepard avocados, lychees, and irrigated sugarcane - together with a substantial centre pivot irrigation development.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire the entire portfolio or individual holdings, combining fertile soils, an ideal climate and ample, secure irrigation water.
