Elders Darwin and Katherine both win big at REINT awards

Elders Real Estate Darwin and Katherine were both recognised for some outstanding achievements at the 2021 REINT Awards for Professional Excellence.  Winners were announced on Saturday at the annual Awards night, held this year at the Mindil Beach Casino Resort.

The awards celebrate the best in real estate in the Northern Territory – and it was clear from the results that Elders Real Estate really is the best.

Elders Real Estate Katherine took out the prestigious Small Residential Agency of the Year Award, beating out a substantial line up of nominees to take out the glittering prize. Alison Ross, Principal of Elders Katherine, said she’s excited and proud to win the award. “It’s rewarding for the whole team, especially after a challenging year that included dealing with COVID-19. We’ve had some staff movements, and we’ve needed to adapt, but the team pulled together and achieved something awesome.”

Elders Katherine have continued their organic growth in the property market as well as making some very significant sales of residential and farming properties. Alison believes that the win not only recognises her team, but also helps promote regional Australia. “It’s great for a Katherine-based business to get this award, so that we can keep Katherine on the map and help promote small business. It goes to show that you don’t have to be based in Darwin to succeed in the Territory.”

Large Residential Agency of the Year also went to Elders; this time, Elders Real Estate Darwin and Palmerston.

David Oliver, Branch Manager, said of the award “It was a true honour to accept this award on behalf of the team. The past year has asked a lot of every single team member, at work and away from work. At times, each of us has struggled for energy and enjoyment, but we’ve succeeded, and we’ve continued to grow, display professionalism and improve. For that effort alone, the whole team have contributed to this award, and are deserving winners of the REINT Large Agency of the Year for 2021.”

The trophies didn’t stop there. Laura Clarke of Elders Darwin & Palmerston took out the Public Choice Property Manager of the Year Award, the most competitive award of the night given the sheer number of nominees. In fact, Elders Darwin also had the highest number of publicly nominated nominees; a reflection of the outstanding talent and quality within the business.

Meanwhile, Kirsty Mattiazzo was awarded the Operational Leadership Award. “I cannot put into words my delight for Kirsty to win this award,” said David. “As someone who is only at the beginning of a long and impressive career in Elders leadership, she has confronted the challenges head on and backed her team every step of the way.”

To round off the honours, Elders Darwin & Palmerston also won the Community Service Award 2021.

“Right now, Elders Real Estate is the most recognised brand in the Northern Territory,” said David. “I could not be prouder to be part of the team than I am right now.”

Both Elders Katherine and Elders Darwin & Palmerston will be heading to the national awards in 2022. This time, it’s hoped that they’ll be able to be there in person.

Congratulations again to all our winners: a fantastic result!
