Elders support for bushfire affected Australia

Elders support for bushfire affected Australia

The last three months have been a time of tremendous sadness for many Australians due to the devastating national bushfire crisis. With South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales the worst affected so far, several of our offices and people have bravely fought for their homes and their communities. While our priority has been to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our own people, like many of you, we desperately wanted to do something to help, in the most effective way we could.

Over the past week, we’ve been working with our people and relief organisations to find out how we can provide the best immediate and longer-term support to those affected by the bushfires. We’ve also been working with other real estate industry leaders to see whether we could, as an industry, unite to help our devastated communities.

We are proud to announce that we are working side by side with numerous real estate brands and institutes, with more than 27 groups so far throwing their support behind the industry-wide campaign which we have called Beyond the Bricks.

These groups are Ray White, Barry Plant, Belle, Buxton, Coronis, Elders, First National, Harcourts, Hockingstuart, Hodges, Laing+Simmons, LJ Hooker, Marshall White, McGrath, PIPA, PRD, Professionals, Raine & Horne, Richardson & Wrench, REIA, REINSW, REIQ, REIV, REISA, REIWA, RE/MAX and Stone. More are expected to join over the coming days and weeks and have already indicated their intention to do so – we hope for as much industry support as we can muster.

Beyond the Bricks comprises a three-phase plan – relief, rebuild, restore – which will provide not only assistance during the crisis but to the communities most affected in the aftermath beyond this point – our customers.

We are pleased to be able to provide assistance to those affected by bushfires that have raged across so much of Australia in recent months.

If you’d like to donate or get involved by setting up your own fundraiser, visit beyondthebricks.com.au/home-elders. Your support will help make a difference.

We hope you will join us in supporting impacted communities.
